Prime’s ‘Life’s Rewards’ returns Pinellas to the public spotlight

The Amazon Prime series Life’s Rewards, a prearranged parody/show shot altogether in Pinellas County, is back briefly season.

Each of the eight new episodes of the series dropped Friday on the real time feature.

Co-created and delivered by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, St. Pete/Clearwater Film Commission and Visit Florida, Life’s Rewards recounts the made up story of Jared – played by Florida entertainer Jared Wofford, who played a little part in Season 1 – and his food truck business, set against the scenery of St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the Gulf Beaches.

En route, the characters visit however many neighborhood attractions and areas of interest as could be allowed. In Episode 3, Jared takes his date Shevonne (played by Tampa performer Shevonne Philidor, whose music is highlighted in the program) to Duncan McClellan’s St. Pete workmanship studio, where they make glass craftsmanship in the Hot Shop.

“We’re continuously searching for better approaches to recount our story,” Visit St. Pete/Clearwater CEO Steve Hayes told the Catalyst in 2021. “Also, one of those was ‘Is there a way tell it through cinematography? Like a film?'”
